Breath pressure and resonance in singing

More air pressure does not always create a better sound. Resonance can make a sound carry with less effort.

Compare three volumes

Sing the same note softly, medium, and louder. Look for the lowest effort that still keeps H3 and H5 present.

Watch for over-driving

If the level rises but pitch becomes unstable or broad noise appears, you may be pushing more air than the coordination can use.

Duration is not everything

Holding a note longer does not automatically mean better technique. The type of phonation and airflow matter too.

Try it in the analyzer. Capture the graph, then compare it with a reference example or your next attempt.
